- This solicitation due date is being extended to September 19, 2017 1600 MDT. The Bighorn National Forest is seeking interested contractors for an Integrated Resource Stewardship Contract (IRSC) in accordance with Section 8205 of Public Law 113-79, the Agricultural Act of 2017. This acquisition has been tailored to fit the Government's method of trading goods for services. It will entail both a timbersale for the sale of approximately 694 CCF of live saw timber (Engelmann Spruce, Lodgepole Pine and other conifer species), 91 CCF of dead saw timber (Lodgepole Pine and other conifer species) and 671 CCF of non-saw True Fir and other conifer live and dead timber for exchange of service work for 140 acres of fuels treatment consisting of non-commercial thinning, remove, crush or pile slash. The project area is located on the Medicine Wheel Ranger District of the Bighorn National Forest. The overall goal is to improve Forest health, utilize timber and other products, reduce fuel loading. The use of bio-based products is anticipated in the performance of the contract.
