Description
This amendment is to replace the paragraph below in page 7 and page 13 with a new paragraph and also to address the questions. Old paragraph: 7. FAILURE TO RESTORE THE FULL PERFOMANCE: For failure to restore equipment to full performance within forty-eight (48) hours of original service call, a deduction of one month's rate will be taken. This penalty will be waived under unusual or extraordinary circumstances at the decision of the VA. New paragraph: 7. FAILURE TO RESTORE THE FULL PERFOMANCE: In the event that contractor fails to restore equipment to full performance within forty-eight (48) hours of original service call, contractor is required to bring OEM to restore the equipment to full performance and within ninety-six (96) hours of original service call. Government will not reimburse the costs. Address the Questions: Q: Just wondering if you one of the SOW requirements is to be authorized by Steris? A: Authorized by Steris will put a restriction on competition. It is not a requirement in the SOW. The requirements are that your technicians have Steris training, you have agreement with Steris to be able to acquire OEM parts, access to OEM technical documentations, and your service performance up to the OEM specifications. (see details in SOW). Q: What is the pervious contract number? A: There were two contracts: Harlingen VA257-13-C-0005 and Dallas VA257-16-C-0121. Note: In this solicitation, we combined the two locations into one contract.
