- Description
- This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) has an immediate need for 30 vials of Soliris® (eculizumab) for use for patient care. Soliris® is the enzyme replacement therapy required by this disorder and there are no available substitutes. This unusual and compelling procurement action in accordance with IAW FAR 6.302-2 is based on the need to procure this medication for patient use. The Government intends to purchase 9 vials Soliris® (eculizumab) for use in patient care. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12 in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements in FAR Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts electronically to the attention of Lisa Schaupp, Contract Specialist, Lisa.Schaupp@nih.gov.
