- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research for developing a procurement strategy for a possible upcoming opportunity entitled "Replacement Governor Distributing Valves for Chief Joseph Dam, Washington". The purpose of this notice is to measure the interest of Small Businesses (SB), 8(a), Small Disadvantage Business (SDB), Women Owned Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or HUBZone prime contractor business sources and their size classifications relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of "332710" - Machine Shops (size standard of 500 employees). The Contractor shall provide all management, personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and applicable licenses and permits necessary to reverse engineer, incorporate design changes, fabricate and supply replacement valves as described below. Scope and Services: 1) Reverse engineer gate distributing valve sets and submit fabrication drawings for each of the three family of governors with design changes. 2) Fabricate one gate distributing valve set consisting of spools, bushings, plungers and servomotor stems for each of the three family of governors. 3) Submit Inspection Reports of fabricated gate distributing valves. 4) Preparation for shipment, labeling and packaging, and shipment of replacement valve sets to Chief Joseph Powerhouse. REQUIREMENTS: Provide the following in response to this sources sought synopsis: 1. Two examples of relevant project experience within the past 5 years that involves reverse engineering with design changes to fabricate and supply valve sets. Examples should include the following information: a. A description of the work; b. Dollar amount of the work; c. Location of the work; d. Contact information for the past experience project. 2. Provide your company's name, address and CAGE code and/or DUNS number. 3. Provide information regarding representation or certification as a Small Business (SB), 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Women Owned Business (WOB), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or HUBZone. Send your notice of interest to this project as soon as possible, but NO LATER THAN 2:00pm (Pacific Time) on 26 September 2017.
