- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 in conjunction with Part 13 of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement, with the attachments constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested. This Solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP), the solicitation number is VA244-17-R-1788. The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Wilkes-Barre, 1111 East End Blvd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711, has an immediate requirement to replace approximately 60 hospital beds and 70 mattresses; categorized for use in Med/Surg, Bariatric, and CLC (Geriatric) settings. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, parts, supplies, and supervision necessary to procure, provide and install the beds in accordance with the Statement of Work in the attached RFP. The solicitation number is VA244-17-R-1788 and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This Solicitation is being competed with cascading set asides. The NAICS Code is 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, 750 employees. The RFP document is attached and shall be used to submit a proposal. NOTE: Because of the urgency of this need, the deadline for submitting reasonable questions is established as September 18, 2017, 12:00PM EST. All questions shall be submitted in writing via email to Peter Cuoco at peter.cuoco@va.gov with a copy to edward.boddie@va.gov and Patty.Brown@va.gov. The completed RFP document/proposal must be received no later than 01:00PM, September 22, 2017. Electronic submission by email is acceptable, ensure that emails are sent with delivery confirmation and read receipt tags.
