- VISITOR'S SERVICES AND LIGHT MAINTENANCE AT THE BLM PT ARENA-STORNETTA UNIT OF THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL NATIONAL MONUMENT. THIS SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO PUBLICIZE THE INTENT TO AWARD A SINGLE SOURCE AWARD (ONE BASE YEAR PLUS FOUR ONE-YEAR OPTION YEAR CONTRACT) TO THE CITY OF POINT ARENA TOTALING $33,571.13 PURSUANT TO FAR PART 6.302-1 - ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE. The BLM is required to provide public access to the Point Arena-Stornetta Unit of the California Coastal National Monument managed under the National Conservation Lands. The safe access, delivery of basic visitor services, and dissemination of visitor information is critical to the success and efficient management of our public lands. The following is to be performed by the City of Point Arena: ¿Provide access to Point Arena-Stornetta Unit. ¿Provide land that is adjacent to Point Arena-Stornetta Unit, visitors will not have to cross Highway 1. ¿Provide legal ingress and egress access off of Highway 1. ¿Provide a parking lot to accommodate 10-15 passenger vehicles. ¿Provide personnel to re-stock and the storage capacity of visitor materials for distribution (maps, dog bags dispensers, etc.). ¿Provide personnel to pick up scattered trash at trailhead parking area. ¿Provide personnel and equipment to mow weeds in parking lot area. ¿Provide an area/space to install temporary restroom facilities. ¿Provide an area/space to install kiosk for visitor information.
