- Description
- Eielson AFB, Alaska has a Lighting System Replacement requirement involving: Replacement of the current lighting systems with LED lights and improved controls in multiple facilities. Buildings to be worked on utilize a mix of public and military operations. These renovations are proposed to both replace the aging fluorescent lights (many are T12's) and other light sources, including HID type lighting inside and outside of these facilities, with LED lighting. Controls such as occupancy/vacancy sensors, dimming controls and timers will be installed to increase the lighting efficiency and energy savings. Emergency egress lighting and signs will also be installed to replace existing and install additional fixtures to bring the facilities up to code. Due to many of the fixtures being replaced with a one-for-one swap ratio at existing locations, many conduits will be reutilized and will only require flexible conduit replacement, while some buildings will require full conduit and conductor replacement. Testing for lead based paint was found to be negative. The Contractor shall construct as required by the contract specifications and drawings. The contractor shall provide all engineering, labor, equipment, and materials to perform the work required, in strict accordance with specifications and applicable drawings at Eielson AFB Alaska. The contractor shall perform to the standards in the contract as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. The disclosure of magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 IAW FAR 36.204(f). This acquisition will be solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210, with a small business size standard of $15.0M. The Government intends to award one Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The solicitation will be issued electronically. It will be available only via the Federal Business Opportunities web site (www.fedbizopps.gov).
