- This is the synopsis for the BAMBERG JOB CORPS CENTER On or about September 7, 2017, the Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL ETA) anticipates issuing a request for proposal (RFP) for the operation for the Bamberg Job Corps Center to include Outreach & Admissions and Career Transition Services. As a result of the responses to the sources sought notice 1630J3-17-N-00002 posted May 11, 2017, and IAW FAR 19.502-2, this procurement will be a Total Small Business set-aside. Offers are to be solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected, and any award resulting from the solicitation will be made to a small business concern. Job Corps is a national residential and non-residential training and employment program administered by the United States Department of Labor to address multiple barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged youth, ages 16-24 years, throughout the United States. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost reimbursement plus incentive fee type contract with Firm Fixed Price OA CTS. The contract will have a two (2) year base period, plus three (3) options for one (1) year each. The scheduled date for the pre-proposal conference and site visit at the Bamberg Job Corps Center is September 27, 2017, at 10:00 AM (EST). The Center is located at 200 S. All questions prior to and at the pre-proposal conference shall be submitted in writing to Hameena Heard, Senior Contract Specialist via email at heard.hameena.l@dol.gov. The successful contractor shall provide: 1. Academic, career technical, social and employment readiness skills, counseling, health services, safety, recreation and work-based learning; 2. Operation and management of government facilities; 3. Residential management, supervision, meals, and support services; 4. Job placement assistance and transitional support services; 5. Training and professional development staff 6. Center operations integrated with the local workforce development systems, employers and the business community 7. Center oversight, financial and program management 8. Outreach and Admissions 9. Career Transition Services The average student capacity for the Atlanta Job Corps Center is 203 residential youth of which 108 are males and 95 are females. There are no non-residential students on this Center.
