- Special Notice to award under Solicitation: W81K02-17-T-0398 Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) (1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Health Contracting Cell, Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price award under solicitation W81K02-17-T-0398 to Candela Corporation in the amount of $56,000.00 for Follow-on Base plus (3) Years Options Preventive Maintenance and Repair services contract on their Government-Owned VBEAM Dermatology Laser at the Department of Dermatology, Bassett Army Community Hospital, FT Wainwright AK. This service is proprietary to the OEM Candela Corporation as stated in a Company Letter. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Purchasing Agent; Mr. Walter J. Bischoff, email; walter.j.bischoff.civ@mail.mil. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
