- For the purposes of market research, this is a Sources Sought Synopsis only. This is not a solicitation for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. There is no bid package or solicitation. All responses will be provided in writing via e-mail. No presentations will be scheduled. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 is seeking responses from Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and or Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) with interest and current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, capacity and capability to perform the work described in the attached DRAFT Statement of Work. The government intends to use this information to determine the feasibility of meeting agency socio-economic goals. The work is to remove and replace cabinet doors, drawers, and toekicks at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS) Fisher House kitchens and laundry room. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238350 Finish Carpentry Contractors, and the small business size standard is $15 million. IAW VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of this project is between $25,000-$100,000. The government anticipates awarding a purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13). Construction by special trade contractors. The concern will perform at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. Interested SDVOSBs/VOSBs are invited to respond to this sources sought by answering the following: Each responding SDVOSB/VOSB is requested to provide one to three example projects where they installed cabinets. Example projects should be representative of NAICS 238350, the description above, and be similar in size, scope, and complexity to this requirement. Example projects completed within the past five years are considered more relevant than projects completed more than five years ago. Example projects with federal, state, or local Government, and/or commercial customers will be accepted. Include contract number, description of work, dollar value of procurement, whether there were any change orders, whether the project was completed on schedule. Whether you intend on using any subcontractors or partners and the percentage of work that will be completed by each party. Provide your subcontractor/partner s name. Respondents will NOT be notified individually of the results of the sources sought. Please respond to this announcement by 2:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, Tuesday, August 15, 2017 by submitting an e-mail with an attached electronic copy of your electronic response to Nicole.do@va.gov.
