Description
Intent to Sole Source Instrument to perform immunosuppressive drug analysis used in heart, kidney, liver and bone marrow transplant patients. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed priced base plus 4-year option to renew contract to Abbott Diagnostics Division 100 Abbott Park, Building 8 Department 921 Chicago, IL 60064. A sole source procurement will be issued to Abbott Diagnostics Division because their single instrument will perform immunosuppressive drug analysis used in heart, liver, kidneys, and bone transplant patients to include cyclosporine, tacrolimus, sirolimus, vitamin D, 25 Hydroxy and HIV 4th generation and hepatitis assay. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1 (b)(2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code is 339112 and has a size standard of 1000 employees. SCOPE OF WORK: The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System has a significant need for testing the immunosuppressive drug analysis used in heart liver, kidneys, and bone transplant patients and includes the cyclosporine, tacrolimus, sirolimus, vitamin D, 25 Hydroxy, HIV 4th generation and hepatitis assay. EQUIPMENT: Abbott Architect i2000 instrument This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than August 15, 2017 at 10:00 am CST to: diana.grube@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Disclaimer and Important Notes: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
