- The U.S. Geological Survey Southeast Ecological Science Center (SESC) has a requirement for the Raceway Building Roof Replacement and Filter Building Renovation located at Gainesville, Florida. This requirement is twofold, one to install a new clear polycarbonate roof on the Raceway Building to include adding the appropriate galvanized steel purlins to turn the roofing material in the correct direction and two, renovate Filter Building to create storage bays with garage doors on an existing concrete slab. The project shall be completed within 180 days after notice to proceed is issued. There are no option periods. Request for Quote (RFQ) G17PS00824 will be issued on or about 08/08/2017 with written quotes due on or about 08/18/2017. The awarded Contractor will be required to provide payment bond. All contractors submitting proposals will be required to provide a bid bond. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 238160. The size standard is $15.0 million. The magnitude of construction is $25,000 to $100,000 A site visit will be held. The date, time, and contact info for the site visit will be in the forthcoming solicitation. CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT. The anticipated award date of the contract is 08/28/2017. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/index.html to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
