- Spud Well Crane Pick Points 816-C598 Outboard Profile Spuds Rev A General Arrangement Solicitation W912EP17R0023 The Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, is issuing this solicitation, for the acquisition of a new crawler crane. The crane will be placed in service on the deck of an existing barge in the South Florida operating area, primarily in and around the St. Lucie River, Lake Okeechobee, and Caloosahatchee River. The crane shall be suitable for both heavy lift work and for clamshell operations with a bucket suited to the capacity of the crane, but in no case less than 3.6 cubic yards. The crane shall be equipped with and capable of utilizing booms of 90', 100', 110', and 120'. The ground pressure must not exceed 63psi for any operation while the crane is on the spud barge. The crane shall have two hoists as follows: main hoist and a single part whip line. A two part auxiliary hoist shall be included in the offeror's proposal as an option. The crane shall have the ability to perform OSHA approved man lifts. The crane shall be delivered equipped with a cold weather package, able to start and to operate in weather to minus 15 degrees F ambient temperature.
