- G:ESTAR, G:SNAP, SUPPLY & INSTALL HVAC SYSTEMS AT BARATARIA PRESERVE, MARRERO, LA. Project Identification - PMIS 214638 Project Title: Replace Heat Pumps at the Barataria Preserve VC and LE Ranger Office Park/Unit: Jean Lafitte National Historical Park & Preserve The Department of Interior (DOI), National Park Service (NPS), Southeast Region (SER), West Major Acquisition Buying Office (W-MABO) has a firm requirement for Cyclic Replacement of the existing HVAC system with new equipment specified herein this Solicitation (Brand Name or Equal). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested. This solicitation is a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAR FAC 2005-94 and 95 thru Jan 19, 2017. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238220, with a small business size standard of $15.0. Any concern submitting a bid or offer in its own name, other than on a construction or service contract, that proposes to furnish an end product it did not manufacture (a "nonmanufacturer"), is a small business if it has no more than 500 employees, and-- The end product furnished manufactured or produced in the United States or its outlying areas. This Supply order consists of furnishing all equipment, material for installation and labor to remove four existing HVAC systems and dispose of Air Conditioners equipment off-site after properly recovering refrigerants and to install and commission new equipment. Method of Acquisition: FAR Subpart 12.6 Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items and FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the notice of proposed contract action and solicitation information will be provided through the Governmentwide point of entry (GPE). Installing HVAC equipment can be hazardous due to system pressure and electrical components; only trained and qualified service personnel should install heating and air conditioning equipment. The complete solicitation package (SF-1449 with price schedule, applicable clauses and provisions, and associated attachment(s), if any, are posted online and can be accessed electrically via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov).
