- The FAA has a requirement for acquisition of Professional Services required for Instruction and Course Revision/Development for Transit Bus, Rail Safety and Security Training Courses: Transit Industrial Safety Management Transit Rail MAP-21 Regulatory Changes SMS Principles for Transit Transit Rail Incident Investigation Transit System Security Transit Bus System Safety Advanced Rail Incident Investigation Crime Prevention through Environmental Design/Transit System Security: Design Review Effectively Managing Transit Emergencies Safety, Security, and Emergency Management Considerations for FTA Capital Projects Transit Safety and Security Audit Course The requirement is for a base year and includes option provisions to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods, to be exercised at the sole discretion of the FAA. To avoid disruption of services, the Period of Performance (PoP) will start October 01, 2017. The FAA intends to negotiate solely with K & J Safety and Security Consulting Services Incorporated, 3257 Elcano Lane, Cantonment FL 32533-6876, in accordance with Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4. A market survey was posted on the FAA Contract Opportunities web site on April 26, 2017, under DTFAAC-17-R-00028, the prefix should have been DTRTAC. The results of this survey supported the determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm. This announcement is for information purposes only.
