- J&A This notice serves to announce the 81st Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source contract for the Lease and Maintenance of a Pyxis MedStation 3500 Automated Medication System to be used in the Keesler Medical Center located at Keesler Air Force Base, MS. The proposed contract action is for a service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to the Sources Sought Announcement, issued on 11 Jul 2017, titled Automated Medication System Lease with Solicitation # FA3010-MedStations. The approved Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached to this notice. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 532490 (Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing) and the size standard is $32.5M. This acquisition will be solicited as a commercial item using FAR 12 procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of soliciting and negotiating with only one source. The period of performance for this requirement is estimated to be 1 October 2017 to 31 March 2019, for a total performance period not to exceed 24 months. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award of contract with any DoD agency. Registration may be accomplished at https://www.sam.gov/.
