Subject: Scope of Work Date: 23 July, 2017 Contractor shall purchase and install complete patient lift systems. This is to include patient lifts, straps, 2-point spreader bars, all required support steel, ceiling tracks and hardware/parts to install. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and qualified personnel and supervision to install and certify complete Arjohuntleigh Maxi Sky 600-pound patient lift systems throughout the CDU area in building 38 in the following rooms: A154-38, A155-38, A156-38, A157-38, A158-38, A159-38, A163-38, A164-38, A165-38 and A166-38. Lifts shall be Arjohuntleigh Maxi Sky 600. The Contractor shall also install power required to operate the lifts in accordance with manufacturer s recommendations. Patient Lift Specs Each lift system will include the Enhanced Charging System (ESC) rails to allow continuous charging wherever it is on the rail. They shall include a 4-way hand control that provides UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT options. Each lift shall also include emergency lowering mechanism and overheat protection to prevent prolonged use damage. Lifts will include straps and 2-point spreader bars. Lift ceiling track/rail shall be flush mount and will be installed perpendicular over each bed. If room size allows, we want track/rail to go both perpendicular and parallel over bed width as well as along the bed length in a + or T configuration. Power Requirements Contractor shall provide power to each lift that is required by the lift specs. This may require moderate demolition to possibly ceilings (tiles & grid), walls, columns, floors, etc. Contractor is responsible to repair all demolition and shall be repaired and returned to its original design/look. Demolition, Lighting, HVAC, Sprinkler Heads, etc. Contractor shall be responsible for the possible relocation or modifications of fire/smoke detectors, sprinkler heads, speakers, light fixtures, ceiling grid and tiles, HVAC vents, ducts and anything else that may be in the way if lift installation. Contractor is responsible for above ceiling work that may be required such as installing steel for support. Contractor shall be responsible for repairing any and all demolition done for installation. Repairs will be completed to original look/design. Room Availability Due to the nature of this section and shortage of patient rooms, the Contractor will be given 1 (one) room at a time to complete work. When current room is one day from completion, Contractor will be given next room to be able to transfer tools/materials etc. Safety Requirements Due to the nature of this work, at a minimum, room will have a plastic zipper covering doorway and a step-off mat outside of doorway. ICRA requirements may call for more stringent requirements such as an air scrubber or air hog to be placed in room during work to maintain negative air. Period of Performance (POP) shall not exceed 180 calendar days from NTP.
