All details can be found in the attached document. **** THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED USING SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 13.5 SIMPLIFIED PROCEDURES FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL ITEMS. This solicitation is a request for quotation. The solicitation document incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95, effective January 13, 2017. 1352.215-72 INQUIRIES (APR 2010) Offerors must submit all questions concerning this solicitation in writing, via email, to both the Contract Specialist (forest.crumpler@nist.gov) and the Contracting Officer (Patrick.staines@nist.gov). Questions shall be received no later than seven (7) calendar days after the issuance date of this solicitation. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333242 with a small business size standard of 1,500 employees. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. BACKGROUND The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) seeks commercial vendors that can update an existing set of gas cabinets in the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST) NanoFab laboratories. The NanoFab is a shared resource accessible to researchers from industry, academia, NIST, and other government agencies that provides researchers with rapid access to state-of-the-art, commercial nanoscale measurement and fabrication tools and methods, along with associated technical expertise. It is well equipped to process and characterize a wide range of nanoscale materials, structures, and devices. Many of the NanoFab process tools require specialty gases to operate and those gases are served by a set of Matheson gas cabinets. The gas cabinets require an update to bring them up to date and add capability to communicate status, errors, and current values via IP/Ethernet. The NanoFab is seeking vendors capable of updating the existing cabinets internally with new gas panels and new control systems per the following requirements. All offerors shall provide a firm fixed price quotation for the following line items: LINE ITEM 0001: Refurbishment, in place, of 13 gas cabinets, meeting the requirements listed below(see attachment)
