Description

The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) has a requirement for a Point of Sale, (POS) system. This will be a firm fixed priced services-supply contract to provide a POS, Inventory and Accounting System for two Gift Shops in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center (CVC). The Contractor shall provide all services, including labor, materials, equipment, training and travel necessary to provide the CVC with POS system and service throughout the period of performance. Performance period of the resulting contract will includes design and installation period, one Base year maintenance contract, plus four twelve-months options periods for system maintenance service. The Request for Proposal, (RFP) and any subsequent amendments, will be issued in electronic format only. The RFP will be available for download only on, or about July 28, 2017 on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). Offerors are encouraged to monitor this site frequently and are solely responsible for obtaining the RFP and any subsequent amendments issued prior to the closing date. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION, AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES! The due date for receipt of proposals is To Be Decided, (TBD) after solicitation issue date. NO HARD COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. Upon review of the solicitation documents, prospective offerors are encouraged to provide questions and comments, in writing, in regards to the solicitation documents prior to the site visit date. Solicitation number RFPVO1-1701 has been assigned and shall be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement and solicitation. She can be contacted via email at smatthew@aoc.gov Interested parties must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) located at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1 Offerors are further advised that the AOC is a legislative branch entity, and as such is NOT subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). However, this procurement will be solicited using a Request for Proposal (RFP) as outlined in FAR Part 15, which will result in the Best Value to the Government. Instructions to offerors and the Government's evaluation process will be further detailed in the forthcoming solicitation. The Government intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price services-supply contract resulting from this solicitation.
