- Description
- This is a synopsis of proposed contract action in accordance with FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i). The Government plans to solicit and make an award for this requirement to only one source, Amherst Systems Inc, 1740 Wehrle Drive, Buffalo, NY 14221, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 USC 253(c)(1). However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Requirement includes the acquisition of one Combat Enviroment Electromagnetic Simulator (CEESIM). The CEESIM will be used to develop software that will simulate radar emitting threats in a lab environment in order to test various EW equipment installed on the KC-46A aircraft. Specifically, the simulator is required to develop and test mission data files and operational flight programs for the various subsystems of the KC-46A electronic warfare suite. The CEESIM is required to be equipped with Single Ship Geolocation for use in the KC-46A Situational Awareness suite, which also includes an ALR-69A Radar Warning Receiver and the Tactical Situational Awareness System mission computer. The Department of the Air Force, 763d Specialized Contracting Squadron (763 SCONS/PKB), 507 Symington Drive Rm W202, Scott AFB, IL 62225, intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) sole source contract to Amherst Systems Inc. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334511. Delivery is anticipated to Warner-Robins Air Force Base 18 months after receipt of order (ARO). The offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database before an award can be made to them. If the offeror is not registered in the SAM, it may do so through the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.
