- Sole Source Justification is attached for the purchase of Stryker Hospital Beds. A notice of intent to sole source synopsis (special notice) will be posted on FBO to notify the public of the Governments intent to make a sole source award for Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. This sole source award is for Stryker Hospital Beds. This award is based upon the standardization of beds at NMCP as Stryker beds are the primary beds used in the hospital. The Stryker parts and mattresses are interchangeable with each other and not other manufacturers. The beds are very specific to the NMCP being and are what is required for NMCP to satisfy its mission. Any deviation from the specifications of these products is unacceptable to the Government.
