- Description
- REPAIR ROOF BLDG. 410 Remove existing roof systems (sloped and flat) complete to bare deck to include edge metal, fascia, any and all flashings, gutters and downspouts. Inspect roof decks and report any deficiencies to the KO. This project assumes that 10% of the wood decking requires replacement. Replace any deteriorated nailers. Nailers will be new pressure treated lumber. On the flat roofs mechanically attach new min 25 psi polyisocyanurate insulation in two 2 1/2' staggered layers to the entire deck. Install cants, crickets and saddles as necessary to ensure positive roof drainage. Install new ice and water shield over the entire wood deck. Install new 20/30 FR modified bitumen roofing system per manufacture's recommendations and these requirements on the flat roofs. Install unfading black ¼' slate shingles. Install new 16 oz. copper gutters and downspouts to match existing. Install 16 oz. copper ridges and valleys. Reflash all roof penetrations, walls, chimney, and edges with 22 oz. copper. Remove existing siding from dormers and install new 18 oz. copper standing seam siding to match Bldg. 305. Submit for approval all details for roofing, all flashings and edge metal. Work shall not commence until details are submitted and approved. New metal color shall match existing. Provide manufacturer's best 20 year water and weather tight warranty. Roof system to include nailers and insulation shall be warranted to resist a basic design wind speed of 115 mph in accordance with ASCE 7. Provide final restoration and clean up. All generated refuse and debris shall be legally disposed of off base.
