Description
Background: NAMRU-6 is seeking to purchase one (03) Film Array instruments for the Study "Epidemiology of Acute Respiratory and Diarrheal Illness and Health-Related Quality of Life in US Military Population during and after Deployment in Latin America" Place of Performance: NAMRU-6 - Lima Peru If capable sources are not identified through this notice, then NAMRU 6 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) to Biofire Defense, LLC, for the requirements of NAMRU-6. The FilmArray requires a bare minimum of sample processing and thus samples can be run without difficulty. All of these capabilities are unique to the FilmArray. The respiratory panels are FDA-approved and test for 17 viruses and 3 bacteria; GI panels can detect 22 gastrointestinal pathogens, all of which are requirements of ongoing NAMRU-6 studies.
