Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA250-17-Q-0837 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-93. This is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside and the associated NAICS code is 334510 and small business size standard is 1,250 employees. The requirement is for 2 Ablation Generators. Delivery location is Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland OH 44106 and shall be FOB destination. Delivery required within 30 days of contract award. Please see the salient characteristics below. Liver Ablation System Background. This equipment will be utilized to for patient care in ablation of liver tumors. Currently the VA rents this equipment per case. Due to increase in workload the VA is requesting to purchase equipment. Scope. The Cleveland VAMC is requesting to purchase the 2 Ablation Generators to be utilized by in the OR. Specific Tasks. Ablation Generator with Dielectrically Buffered Antenna Capability 100W Generator Three areas of energy control Field Control Thermal Control Wavelength Control Disposables cannot be tissue-tuned or come in direct contact with tissue Customizable power settings Ablation Pump Accessory Pump Minimizes thermal conductivity Ablation Cart with Ablation Footswitch Accessory Cart Procedure Planning Application Laptop Mouse USB Drive Laptop Bag Power Cord Assists determining ablation zone and antenna trajectory Accessory Reusable Cable Ablation Generator Utilizes microwaves Accessory Ablation Pump Accessory Ablation Cart One Year Extended Warranty Two Year Extended Warranty Field Control: shapes electromagnetic fields by controlling electrical currents on the radiator. Thermal Control prevents unintended heating of tissue by hot microwave cables within the antenna shaft. Wavelength Control maintains a spherical shape throughout the ablation. Wavelength Control minimizes the elongation of the wavelength on the radiator to maintain effective field control. Intra-procedural 3D volumetric planning and placement verification software Performance Monitoring The COR will work with warehouse staff and biomedical engineering to ensure delivery and incoming inspection to determine for fitness for use.
