- LSN 1680-LN0025881, H-1 ACFT, BEARING, BALL, PR 68801990; P/N: 449-340-200-101; this is a Critical Application (CAI) item; this is also a Critical Safety Application (CSI) item. It is not a commercial item. Configuration Control applies. This item is restricted to Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. (BHTI) Cage (97499). This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the product. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design controls activities procedures as approved by the cognizant Governments engineering activity. This is a sole source item coded 3L. The Government does not possess the technical data package for this National Stock Number to evaluate alternate offers. Any manufacturer, other than the approved source, Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. (BHTI), CAGE 97499, interested in submitting a proposal for this item must submit a complete source approval request (SAR), package for evaluation for future procurements. The SAR package will not be considered for the current procurement. Submit SAR packages to: Defense Logistics Agency- Aviation Office of the Competition Advocate ATTN: DSCR-DU 8000 Jefferson Davis Highway Richmond, VA 23297-5100 DELIVERY: 18 Months (ARO)/ 548 days after receipt of order. QUANTITY: 31 each. INSPECTION/ACCEPT: Origin. FOB Origin; DCMA action applies. The Government intends to place a firm-fixed price, no options delivery order against to Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. (BHTI) current BOA. The letter solicitation will be issued on 17 July 2017 and will close on 17 August 2017. The solicitation will be available via the DLA-BSM Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) website. You may request a copy by contacting the Acquisition Specialist.
