- The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) intends to issue a solicitation on a sole-source basis to North Star Imaging, Inc., 19875 S. Diamond Lake Road, Rogers, MN 55374, for the upgrade to the 4G Ultimate workstation for existing CT x-ray system, 4D software module and training for 5 staff in basics of CT imaging and 4D imaging techniques at the CPSC Laboratory. North Star, Inc. is the manufacturer of the x-ray system and is the only vendor that can provide the compatible supplies and services for the proprietary system that CPSC own. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can supply the service may give written notice to the Contract Specialist via email at dbraswell@cpsc.gov, by 1 PM EST on JULY 5, 2017. SUPPORTING EVIDENCE MUST BE FURNISHED IN SUFFICIENT DETAIL, to the above listed email address, Attn: Derrick Braswell, Contract Specialist. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS. Responses will be evaluated: however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Government. If no responses are received, CPSC will proceed with negotiating a sole source award to North Star Imaging, Inc.
