- Referenced drawing The Advanced Light Source is a Department of Energy-funded synchrotron facility located at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) that provides users access to the brightest beams of soft x-rays, together with hard x-rays and infrared, for scientific research and technology development. LBNL seeks vendors that can provide a sub-system for the QERLIN Endstation that will become part of the Advance Light Source (ALS), and is described in the attached specification document XR-1000-0221A. The delivery of the subsystem should include all compatible drivers and cables to facilitate seamless installation which will ensure that LBNL provides continuous support to the scientists who rely on the ALS for their research in manner that will not negatively impact availability of resources. The resulting purchase order will be issued on a fixed price basis. General Provisions for Commercial Supplies & Services, dated 9/12/16 will be made a part of the resulting order. Your firm is required to be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov). E-VERIFY REQUIREMENTS This solicitation falls under the reporting requirements of E-Verify. Within thirty (30) days of award of a Subcontract the awardee must provide proof of enrollment in the E-verify Program. If proof of enrollment is not received within the specified timeframe the subcontract may be subject to cancellation.
