- THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a Request for Quote/Proposal/Bid and no contract or purchase order will be awarded as a result of this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications, or drawings available at this time. The Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk has a requirement for the upcoming Mid-Term Availability (MTA) on the USNS Henry J Kaiser (T-AO 187) commencing on or about 08 JANUARY 2018 for forty-two (42) calendar days. The USNS HENRY J. KAISER has a length of 677 ft and beam of 98 ft.. Area of Consideration is West Coasts. Estimated date of Solicitation is on or about 20 AUGUST 2017. Major work items associated with this availability include: Annual Fire Fighting Inspection/Certification; Main Engines Coupling and Clutch Ovh; Port and Stbd PTO Coupling Ovh.; Blast & Paint No. 6 Port & Stbd Ballast Tanks.. This requirement will be solicited as a full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a Bid, Proposal, or Quotation in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by the agency. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 20 August 2017 with an estimated closing date of 25 September 2017. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted and can be found on the Government Wide Point of Entry located at https://www.fbo.gov under solicitation number N32205-17-R-4008. The appropriate NACIS code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.
