- J&A The Sierra Army Depot intends to enter into a sole source contract under the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures with DBT Transportation Services, 2655 Crescent Drive, Suite A-1 Lafayette, CO 80026 for AWOS equipment replacement and onsite services under 10 U.S.C.2304(C)(1), only one,or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(Note 22). The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government Intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In regards to the J&A redacted attachment- On August 1, 2016, DBT Transportation Service LLC joined the ranks of the premier aviation weather system and FAA certified maintenance providers, by purchasing the assets from Vaisala Inc. DBT is the market provider for the Vaisala manufactured AWOS, NADIN data services, and deliver FAA certified maintenance for AWOS, Navaids, Control Towers and RWIS systems across North America.
