Description
Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition-PR0007255 PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole-source, fixed price blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with TriMech Solutions, LLC, 4461 Cox Road Suite 302, Glen Allen, VA 23060-331 for the purpose of procuring Building Material and 3D Printer Supplies for our existing Stratasys/Fortus 450mc and Stratasys/Dimension Elite. The FBI's Operational Projects Unit (OPU), Laboratory Division currently utilizes two additive manufacturing/3D printing machines, a Stratasys/Foruts 450mc and a Stratasys/Dimension Elite. The FBI has a requirement for additive manufacturing and 3D printing supplies for these machines to help expedite the fabrication of a model for trial purposes or develop customized apparatuses in support of the Units in the Laboratory Division. Based on market research, and Government end-users, it has been determined that Stratasys maintains proprietary control over the materials used in their machines and only have one authorized reseller/distributor for their additive manufacturing machines and their associated supplies for our area. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 333517, Machine Tool Manufacturing. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of: Kemper Wood, email address: KNWood@fbi.gov by Wednesday, June 21, 2017 (3:00 pm Eastern). Emailed responses will only be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government. Vendors must be registered in SAM, effective July 29, 2012 to receive government contracts. The FBI uses a financial system that has a direct interface with SAM. Please ensure that your company's SAM information is updated and accurate. This includes TIN, EFT, DUNS, addresses and contact information. The EFT banking information on file in SAM will be what the FBI uses to process payment to your organization.
