- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, ARS, WBSC, College Station, TX intends to issue a sole source follow-on award to Bohn Technology Solutions, LLC., 6516 Hanover St., Lubbock, TX for the continued development of an RFID scanning system pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), SAP Non-Competition. Software programing services are needed to complete a research agreement funded by Cotton Incorporated on developing an RFID scanning system for cotton module transport vehicles and a cotton module data management system. ARS and Bohn Technology Solutions developed the first component of the electronic cotton module management system in and consisted of a hand held (mobile) system for scanning RFID tags on cotton modules. In order for the expansion of the new systems to be developed and work with the current system, it is imperative that Bohn Technology Solutions do the expansion. They are the only company that has the technical knowledge necessary to create software which will allow for seamless integration of all components in the electronic cotton module management system. This posting is a NOTICE OF INTENT and is not a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests for information will not be accepted. Potential sources who believe that they are capable of proving these supplies/services are invited to submit, in writing, substantiating documentation to the identified point of contact by no later than 15 days of the publication of this notice. The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for future requirements. A determination by the Government to compete future actions based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
