- Change to COR: Steve J Hunter sjhunter@fs.fed.us 970-945-3308 ************************************************************* This project involves maintenance activities at three separate road bridges on the White River National Forest as described below: 1. Lincoln Creek #1 (CR 23.1, MP 0.10) a. Soil erosion and pollution control (including sediment control) work, to prevent pollutants, debris and sediment form entering the stream channel during deck cleaning and riprap placement work. b. 15 Cubic yards of riprap placement for abutment and bank protection. Riprap placement may be directed by the COR. 75% of material shall be 24" (inch) in size. Minor excavation and ground preparation is incidental to riprap placement. Material is government furnished from borrow source on Highway 82, See Map Location Below in Section C-2. c. Bridge deck cleaning. Sweep by hand or utilize mechanical methods. No debris shall be discharged into the stream channel or any waterbody. Waste material at least 100' (feet) from stream channel or any waterbodies. d. Seeding and mulching of all disturbed areas used to access the river bank. e. Temporary traffic control. 2. Rocky Fork (NFSR 105.6C, MP 0.00) a. Soil erosion and pollution control (including sediment control) work, to prevent pollutants, debris and sediment form entering the stream channel during deck cleaning work. b. 100 CY of surface rock placement on road approaches, compact with hauling and spreading equipment. CDOT Class 6, commercial source. c. Bridge deck cleaning. Sweep by hand or utilize mechanical methods. No debris shall be discharged into the stream channel or any waterbody. Waste material at least 100' (feet) from stream channel or any waterbodies. d. Temporary traffic control. 3. Horseshoe Bend (NFSR 105.4A, MP 0.84) a. Documentation of soil erosion and pollution control (including sediment control) protective measures at this site is required in the plan. Erosion and sediment control work at the project site may be required, but is unlikely because deck cleaning or excavation near the stream channel is not being conducted at this location. b. 20 CY of surface rock placement on road approaches, compact with hauling and spreading equipment. CDOT Class 6, commercial source. c. Removal of four (4) existing "Type 3 object marker" signs from existing fiberglass posts, and installing those object markers on new 4x4 treated wood post. Location of new sign posts to be marked on the ground or directed by COR. This work includes digging holes, setting the new posts, and removing and disposing of the existing fiberglass posts legally off of National Forest Lands. d. Removal of two (2) existing "Weight Limit" signs from their existing wood posts, and installing those weight limit signs on new 4x4 treated wood posts. Location of new sign posts to be marked on the ground or directed by COR. This work includes digging holes, setting the new posts, and removing and disposing of the existing wood posts legally off of National Forest Lands. e. Temporary traffic control.
