- SOURCES SOUGHT: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. The Veterans Medical Center Richmond, VA is seeking potential sources capable of furnishing all labor, material, (except for those specifically stated to be Government-Furnished), supplies, management and supervision necessary to perform Fire Alarm System maintenance and Repair TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS. 1. The McGuire VA Medical Center (Richmond, VA.) is a 2 million square foot 5 story structure and has10 (501,503,505,507,508,509,511,512,513,514) other operational buildings. The facility is protected by an existing fire detection alarm system. The building fire detection/alarm system is an EST 3 system. The system includes the following building interfaces: (HVAC shutdown, elevator recall, smoke control, fire doors, etc). 2. Contractor shall provide parts, labor, material, preventive maintenance services, testing, monitoring and emergency call back for the fire detection and sprinkler system to include fire alarm, fire alarm monitoring, kitchen hoods and annual fire extinguisher inspections and related components at the McGuire VA Medical Center as indicated herein. All services shall be performed in accordance with all applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes, The Joint Commission, The Department of Veterans Affairs, local codes, and manufacturer s recommended procedures. 3. Contractor shall provide an individual(s) who is adequately trained and certified and capable of performing Testing, Maintenance and Inspections and any necessary repairs to the major equipment manufacturer Edwards(EST) system. Contractor shall be certified to work on the Edwards EST system The Applicable NAICS code is 561210with a Size Standard of $15M. This request for information is not a request for quotes.. Please provide companies capabilities statement to include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not your firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories Small Women Owned Business 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran Owned; firm s experience in providing Fire Alarm System Maintenance and Repair. Provide a brief description of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
