Description

Single Source Justification Document The 502d Contracting Squadron at JBSA-Lackland, TX intends to award a single source purchase order to Allergan, Inc., 400 Interpace Parkway, Bldg D, Parsippany, NJ, 07054 under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The proposed contract action is for ten (10) Xen45 Gel Stent Glaucoma Implants in support of the Opthalmology Operating Room Section to provide an alternative solution to patients with refractory glaucoma. Xen45 Gel Stent Glaucoma Implants from Allergan, Inc. were specifically identified by the Opthalmology Surgical Section due to unique and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved characteristics. These particular implants are the only known, FDA approved, implants to satisfy the Government's need to perform alternative glaucoma procedures. Please see attached Single Source Justification for further details. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 339112, and the small business size standard is 1,000 EMP. While the intent of the Government is to award single source to Allergan, Inc., responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Responses must be received by the Government no later than June 20, 2017, 12:30 P.M. (CST). A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice.
