- AMENDMENT 0002 SITE VISIT QUESTIONS. SOLICITATION IS BEING AMENDED TO INCORPORATE SITE VISIT QUESTIONS. SEE ATTACHED AMENDMENT 0002. SOLICITATION IS BEING AMENDED TO EXTEND THE CLOSING DATE TO JUNE 23, 2017. SYNOPSIS IS AMENDED TO INCORPORATE THESE CHANGES. SEE AMEND 0001ATTACHED TO THIS NOTICE. NOTICE IS BEING AMENDED TO EXTEND THE CLOSING DATE AND TO ATTACH THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE TO THIS NOTICE AS AN ATTACHMENT. The DLA -Aviation-VICA, Industrial Plant Equipment Division, Richmond, VA, intends to procure a new 85 Ton Induction Furnace in accordance with Purchase Description VIBB 17-25-1009. The purchase will include Installation, Spare Parts, Engineering Services, Gradmatic Automated Furnace Lining Device, IUID Tags, Training and shipping. The purchase requirement will be solicited as unrestricted as to business size. FAR 52.225-5 Trade Agreements applies. The anticipated award will be made as a firm, fixed-price contract. The award shall be based on technical acceptability, price and past performance. The requested performance is 365 days after receipt of order. FOB at Destination. Inspection is at Origin with Final Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. The tentative Site Visit date is the week of May 28, 2017. The dates of the site visit and the POC for gate access will be included in the Request For Quote (RFQ). This synopsis serves to meet the requirements to post solicitations as the RFQ is NOT Available on DIBBS. The estimated release date of the solicitation is on or about May 5, 2017. The anticipated closing date is June 5, 2017. This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The solicitation details (including the technical requirements) will NOT be available until the official solicitation is posted. The solicitation will be attached to this pre-solicitation notice only.
