This requirement is to determine the feasibility of incorporating a heavier, bird-strike resistant front canopy into T-38C aircraft. This effort will include analysis and testing to determine the spatial separation between the various components of the escape system throughout the escape sequence. The analysis and testing will also include determining the maximum canopy weight to provide sufficient clearance between all escape system components during the worst case (zero- zero) ejection event. The period of performance is 1-June-2017 through 19-September-2018, 475 days. This requirement was satisfied using other than full and open competition. All Government requirements have been identified and can be referenced in the CLINs listed above. Delivery schedule: GFP: 120 days after receipt of Award Task 1: 67 days after receipt of GFP Task 2: 67 days after Task 1 is completed Task 3: 169 days after Task 2 is completed Task 4: 52 days from exercise of option Duration of the contract period: The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options shall not exceed 475 days total.
