- Questions from Industry Responses The 410th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB), Regional Contracting Center (RCC), Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston, TX has a requirement for floor construction BLDG 4191 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234 for the removing carpet, removing cove and wood base, removal of vinyl tile, staining concrete, replacing cove base and repaint rooms 1-7 and exterior walls. The Contractor shall provide remodeling in BLDG. 4191, Bay C, Door 2, location Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The Contractor shall remove carpet in five rooms and replace with concrete staining. The Removal of carpet will include; removal of carpet, underlayment, adhesive and carpet tacks. Remove vinyl tile in Room 6 and replace with concrete staining. Repair expansion joint and concrete stain classroom. Repair, paint and texture wall surfaces before installation of rubber cove base in rooms. Replace existing cove base with a neutral color and paint to match door jambs. Repair exterior walls of offices, paint and texture to match interior walls and trim. Magnitude: The estimate price range of this project is less than $25,000.00. Construction Time: Estimated construction time is 30 calendar days. Contractor shall ensure he can meet this timeline since liquidated damage may be included in this contract. Type of Set-Aside: The applicable NAICS code is 238330, Floor Contractors. This requirement will be solicited unrestricted to obtain full and open competition. Contract Type: The Government intends to award a single award, firm fixed price, for the floor work referenced above. Contract award Evaluation Criteria: The quotes will be evaluated using Simplified Acquisition Prodecures (SAP) Far 13.106-1 (a)(2), Award will be made based on Past Performance and Price. Anticipated Award Date: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Obtaining the Solicitation: The solicitation will be available for download from the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov. All notifications of changes to the solicitation shall be made through this website. It is the contractor's responsibility to check for any posted changes. Vendors are encouraged to pay close attention to instructions outlined in the solicitation and synopsis. It is anticipated that the official Request for Quote (RFQ) for this procurement will be released on or about 20 June 2017. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Site Visit: An organized site visit was conducted on 07 June 2017 at 2191 Substance Street Bay C Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The attached is questions from industry with responses. SAM/ASFI Registration: Vendors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
