Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION This is not a solicitation. This questionnaire is for market research purposes only. Only small business concerns capable of performing this type of work are requested to respond to this Request for Information. Requirement: Replace all head gate machinery, wiring, controls and machinery huts at the three below listed dam sites. Background: Wolf Creek Powerhouse Wolf Creek Powerhouse (Wolf Creek) is located on the Cumberland River at river mile 460.9 approximately 10 miles south of Jamestown, Kentucky. The project contains six 45,000 kilowatt (kW) units with a total generating capacity of 270,000 kW. The rated "overload" generation is 310,000 kW. The six units became operational in 1951 and 1952. Center Hill Powerhouse Center Hill Power Plant is located on the Caney Fork River, approximately 12 miles (20 river miles) from its confluence with the Cumberland River. The powerhouse has 3 identical vertical Francis type generating units, rated at 62,500 hp (45 MW) under 160 ft net head. Center Hill has the 2nd largest capacity and generates the 4th highest average annual energy of the Nashville District hydroelectric plants. Dale Hollow Powerhouse Dale Hollow Powerhouse (Dale Hollow) is located on the Obey River 7.3 miles above its confluence with the Cumberland River 26 miles north of Cookeville, Tennessee. The powerhouse and dam are located in Clay County, Tennessee. The project contains three 18,000 kilowatt (kW) units with a total generating capacity of 54,000 kW. The rated "overload" generation is 62,100 kW. The three generating units became operable in 1948, 1949, and 1953.
