Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7 intends to award a sole source contract to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Animal Resources to provide feeding, housing and care for research animals as required by the USDA Animal Welfare Act Regulations, PHS Policy and AAALAC. The NAICS code is 541712 with a Product Service Code AK16. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit capability packages no later than 10:00 a.m. EST, June 20, 2017 to Jessica.coleman-smith@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response to this notice. The Government reserves the right to use the information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
