- GENERAL INFORMATION: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) - Contracting and General Services (CGS) Region 1, located at 911 NE 11th Avenue; Portland, OR 97232, is issuing a Presolicitation Notice for Demolish and Remove Wildlife Holding Pens on California Department of Water Resource Property located at Woodbridge Road in Lodi, CA. There are three (3) unused wildlife holding pens located on lands owned by the California Department of Water Resources (CDWR) and managed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) west of Lodi, CA. The pens are no longer in use and need to be demolished and removed. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: (Refer to the Performance Work Statement for Additional Information) Contractor shall demolish and properly dispose of all materials associated with the three (3) wildlife holding pens. Materials shall include but not be limited to nylon netting, steel cable, steel support poles, concrete footings, concrete pads, wire mesh, aluminum flashing, ground anchor screws and other miscellaneous hardware and materials. Belowground level portions of all support posts, concrete footings, concrete pads and anchor anchors shall also be demolished and disposed, in addition to their aboveground components. Refer to Appendix A, as well as the attached drawings and photos for additional information. Upon completion of pen demolition and disposal, the contractor shall smooth the ground surface to existing grade using excavated and surrounding soil where posts, concrete footings, concrete pads and cable anchors were dug up and removed from belowground level. EVALUATION: Award will be made to the responsive offeror providing the lowest price. SITE VISIT: Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. An organized site visit has been scheduled for June 08, 2017 at 10:00 AM (PDT). Location of the site visit will be at the jobsite, located 1/4-mile north of Woodbridge Road, and approximately 2 miles west of Interstate 5. In order to participate in the site visit, offerors shall email the Contracting Officer, Mr. Michael Stearns (michael_stearns@fws.gov) and Refuge Manager, Mr. Eric Hopson (eric_hopson@fws.gov), and provide the following information for each attendee: - Name of Company; - Name and Title; and - Phone Number and Email Address Minimum information, listed above, must be provided by June 06, 2017 at 10:00 AM (PDT). Anyone not on the approved list prior to the start time of the site visit may not be allowed to participate. DATES, SET-ASIDE INFORMATION AND GOVERNMENT POC: The solicitation, specifications and other attachments will be available for download on FedBizOpps (FBO) (http://www.fbo.gov) and FedConnect (http://www.fedconnect.net) on or about May 17, 2017, with an anticipated proposal due date of June 20, 2017. In order to view these documents on FBO, prospective offerors are required to self-register their firm with FBO (Go to http://www.fbo.gov and `Register Now ¿ under `Vendor / Citizens ¿). Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. In order to view these documents on FedConnect, prospective offerors shall go to FedConnect and click on Search Public Opportunities Only. From there, change the Search Criteria dropdown menu to Reference Number, type the solicitation number into the adjacent text box and click on Search. The anticipated award date will be on or about June 22, 2017. The overall period of performance of the resulting contract will be from August 01, 2017 thru August 30, 2017. This is a 100% small business set-aside procurement. The applicable NAICS Code is 238910 (Site Preparation Contractors) with a small business size standard of $15.0 Million. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Government.
