- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This is a notification that Naval Special Warfare (NSW) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to Strategic System, Inc., under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). NSW requires the replacement of damaged bullistic steel head-plates and accessories, for existic targets made by Strategic Systems, Inc., with a proprietary design. The required repair parts will be acquired in accordance with the FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333999. The size standard is 500 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notification will be used to determine if bonafide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical capability information, which shall demonstrate the contractor's ability to complete the effort within the required time. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be submitted to NSWKO1@socom.mil and received no later than 6/15/2017
