- QUALIFICATIONS This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement for Growth study services to, 1) provide highly skilled project management, consultation expertise, analytical chemistry, and growth model analysis and 2) provide project management, consultation, chemical analysis and interpretation of the physiological status of wild salmon. Both objectives require consultation on study design, set-up, execution, data collection, data error checking, complex growth model analysis, and creating summaries for inclusion in project reports and publications. This work must be done by a scientist capable of performing a wide range of biochemical chemical sample assays, and who will aid in manuscript writing after chemical and data analyses of all samples are complete. These duties will be conducted at ABL's Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute (TSMRI) in Juneau, AK. See attached Statement of Need for more information. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued in immediately. Faxed or Emailed Correspondence or Response to Solicitation should reference solicitation # ABL-17126, in the Subject line to ensure it is received successfully. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $150,000.00. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation and resultant award.
