- The Library of Congress, Preservation Research and Testing Division (LOC-PRTD) requires contract support to provide maintenance services for the FEI Quanta 600 Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) (S/N D8443), 9404 Heating Stage (S/N D8443.1), and 9403 Peltier Temperature Stage (S/N D8443.2). The Library intends to purchase the support plan for the three linked instruments from the manufacturer, FEI Company. The period of performance is July 12, 2017 through July 11, 2018. The vendor shall provide maintenance services for 12 months for the LOC-MBRS FEI above-noted instruments and shall begin upon Award by the Library of Congress. Please see the attached draft Statement of Work for more details. The Library intends to fulfill this requirement by issuing a sole source contract award to FEI Company. Any firm that wishes to be considered for this requirement must submit a capability statement that demonstrates its ability to meet all the requirements described in the attached draft Statement of Work. The capability statement must not exceed five (5) double-spaced pages and shall include the following information: 1) Company name, DUNS number, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address 2) Corporate structure (corporation, LLC, sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability partnership, professional corporation, etc.) 3) References, including name, phone number, and e-mail address of individuals who can verify the demonstrated capabilities indicated in the statement and 4) Resumes for key personnel who would work on the contract for those individuals with knowledge and experience relevant to the requirement described in the draft Statement of Work. (Resumes are not counted as part of the 5-page limit for capability statements.) In accordance with LC06.305, Availability of the Justification, the Justification and Approval to issue a sole-source contract to FEI Company is posted with this notice.
