- This is a sole source synopsis and published for informational purposes only. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special Operations Forces, Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics, (SOF-AT&L), Directorate of Procurement intends to award a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) to TechConnect, in Danville, CA. Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. TechConnect is the sole contractor responsible for organizing and conducting the 5th Annual Defense Innovation Summit, at the Tampa Convention Center, held jointly with the Defense Innovation Technology Acceleration Challenges (DITAC 2017), and the SBIR/STTR Innovation Summit. All exhibitor and attendance registration for this conference is done through TechConnect. The estimated award date is scheduled for fourth quarter FY17. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or an exception to the Government's intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government if received within ten (10) days of this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government is not responsible for any cost incurred for submissions in response to this notice.
