- DRAFT DVE PWS This notice is for informational purposes only. This is a presolicitation notice in accordance with FAR 5.204 to publicize the planned sole source procurement for the repair of the AN/VAS-5A and AN/VAS-5B Driver's Vision Enhancement (DVE). The United States Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), 6001 Combat Drive, APG, Maryland 21005, intends to solicit and award a sole source, five year, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) / Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The Communication Electronics Command (CECOM) Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) has a requirement to provide test and inspect as well as repair services for the AN/VAS-5A and AN/VAS-5B Driver's Vision Enhancement (DVE). (DRS) 100N BABCOCK ST MELBOURNE, FL 32935-6715, as they are the sole provider, developer, and original equipment manufacturer of the AN/VAS-5A and AN/VAS-5B Driver's Vision Enhancement (DVE). The Government does not possess a Technical Data Package (TDP) for the AN/VAS-5A and AN/VAS-5B Driver's Vision Enhancement (DVE). The technical data for this item is proprietary to DRS. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 335999 and the Product Service Code (PSC) is J058. The place of performance will be at the contractor's facility. The solicitation number for this action is W56JSR-17-R-0046 and the anticipated award date is August 2017. *These dates are Government estimate and are not definitive. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes and is not to be considered a request for proposal (RFP). This is NOT a request for proposals, is NOT an authorization to begin work, and does NOT commit the Government to purchase any services. No entitlement to payment by the Government of direct or indirect costs or charges will arise as a result of the submission of information in response to this notice.
