- Description
- The Dorn VA Medical Center, Columbia, SC has a requirement and anticipates issuing a firm fixed price contract to revise fire suppression (automatic sprinkler) system of Building 100 for the radiology department. The contractor will be required to relocate and add additional sprinkler heads in accordance with the latest editions of NFPA 101 and NFPA 13. The contractor will also be required to fully repaint the interior space walls and shall take precaution to avoid painting ajoined surfaces of frames and other accessories. Sprinkler replacement will include all necessary components to include but not limited to schedule 40 iron pipe and fittings, sprinkler heads, escutcheons and deflectors, Nicet III engineered/stamped shop drawings (reference specifications), system pressure testing, selective demolition, lead abatement and lead sheet roll replacement where installed in wall systems. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220 and the small business size standard is $15 million. Contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible bidder offering the lowest price. Solicitation can be obtained electronically on the Internet web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about the week of June 12, 2017. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to the solicitation will only be posted on this web-site. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually view this web-site for any amendments made to the solicitation. HARD COPIES OR CD-ROM OF THE SOLICITATION OR THE PLAN HOLDERS LIST WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE GOVERNMENT. ALL CONTRACTUAL AND TECHNICAL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING BY E-MAIL to Phillip.Braswell@va.gov. NO TELEPHONE QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). To be considered for an award, bidders must be a SDVOSB and CVE certified and visible in VIP (VAAR 804.1102) and also registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (information on registration requirements can be obtained by the Internet at https://sam.gov) at the time of submission of bids. Any firm not CVE certified upon submission of their bid will not be considered for award. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted.
