- Description
- All Interested Parties: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky, intends to solicit for the provision of Pathology and Cytology Services to be rendered for the inmate population. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing a Laboratory Director and off-site pathology and cytology laboratory testing. In addition, the successful contractor will be responsible for the transportation and testing of specimens from FMC at their own laboratory. The estimated Laboratory Director requirement will consist of 12 visits per year, executed as one visit per month. A visit will last approximately two (2) hours in duration. Generally, visits will be scheduled between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The pathology and cytology testing will accept FMC Laboratory specimens as needed Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The Government contemplates awarding an indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract consisting of a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods for renewal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621511 (Size Standard: $32.5 million). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 24, 2017, and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is May 24, 2017. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
