- A. Objective: (1) Action Code : SOURCES SOUGHT This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a request for proposal, but a survey to locate a potential 8(a) source. This action will be an 8(a) direct award. This does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. It is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The purpose of this Notice is to gather information about the Government's roof and replacement requirement, gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of 8(a) vendors. The Government will hold a site visit on 01 May 2017 for all interested 8(a) vendors. All eligible 8(a) vendors are highly encouraged to attend the site visit. The Government is requesting all interested and eligible 8(a) vendors to provide a capabilities statement to include market research pricing for the requirements listed no later than 11:59 A.M.EST 08 May 20017. All Contractors/vendors without a DoD issued ID shall complete an Installation Access Request form for an NCIC III background check. The forms will only be accepted if they are complete and typed. All forms must be submitted no later than 03:59 P.M 24 April 2017. All vendors who plan to attend the site visit must email the Government Point of Contact (POC) to confirm their site visit participation and to receive their Installation Request form. Responses: All interested parties should notify this office in writing, mail, fax, or e-mail within the posted date. Responses shall include: •(I) To what extent each of the specifications can be met. •(II) Include your type of business (i.e. commercial, academia), whether your organization is classified as a large or small business based on the $15,000,000.00 standard that accompanies NAICS code 238160.
