Description

This purpose of this synopsis is to notify potential vendors of a requirement that the Louisville Kentucky, VA Medical Center has. A contractor is needed to provide up to10 beds per day. This will be for no more than 10 authorized Veterans per day, for an estimated total of 3,650 beds per year. The beds offered shall be within 15 miles of the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. This contract shall be for a base period of one year with the option to extend four additional optional years. The contractor shall furnish each Veteran authorized care under this contract with room and board. This includes appetizing and nutritionally adequate meals that are provided in a setting which encourages social interaction. This includes accommodating special dietary needs as ordered by VA provider. The contractor will also provide nutritious snacks between meals and at bedtime for those requiring or desiring additional food, when it is not medically contraindicated. Service shall be required to begin on August 1st, 2017. A request for quote will publicized on www.FBO.gov on or about May 22nd 2017.
