Description
Product Director Machine Foreign Language Translation System (PD MFLTS) will conduct an Industry Day on 26-27 April 2017 at the Fort Belvoir Community Center, 10300 Taylor Rd, Bldg. 1200, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060. The purpose of this industry day is to provide information regarding the upcoming solicitation for the MFLTS program, hold an open forum for discussion of MFLTS follow-on capability requirements and provide an opportunity for one-on-one sessions with Industry. The Industry Day events will be unclassified. This industry day is in response to Request for Information (RFI) W909MY-16-R-A025. This announcement should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Industry Day. The Government will not be liable for payment of any expenses incurred as a result of attending this Industry Day. Industry Day will be two (2) days and begin at 0900 hrs Eastern Standard Time (EST) on 26 April 2017. 26 April 2017 (Day 1): General session will begin with a program overview, followed by a question and answer session and One-on-One sessions. 27 April 2017 (Day 2): A continuation of One-on-One sessions. During the scheduled one-on-one sessions, interested parties will have the opportunity to meet with Government representatives for no more than 45 minutes. Requests to schedule an Industry Day one-on-one with the Government must be submitted at the same time as registration for the event (see instructions below). Industry is encouraged to ask questions during the Industry Day open session or one-on-one sessions. Additional comments and questions may be submitted in writing to the Government following the event and the Government will take these into consideration. The Government will review these questions and incorporate any required changes into the documentation as needed. Each company participating will be limited to a maximum of five (5) Industry Day attendees. Attendance is limited to U.S. Department of Defense contractors. Attendees must be U.S. Citizens. It is recommend that all non-US companies utilize US citizen representatives. Industry partners interested in attending Industry Day must submit an email with subject line: "Attend MFLTS Industry Day 26-27 April 2017" to the Administrative POC, Mr. Steven Lopez, e-mail: steven.e.lopez3.ctr@mail.mil no later than 1600 hrs EST on 19 April 2017. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis or until capacity has been met. PD MFLTS may not be able to accomodate any reservations that come in after the stated date/time. One-on-one sessions are available on a first-come, first served basis until all available time slots have been filled. Each registration e-mail should contain: • Company name, CAGE code, business unit, and address; • Business type - Identify as Large business, Small Business or any other socioeconomic type business; • Primary point of contact phone number and e-mail; • List of attendees - provide full legal name and confirm U.S. citizenship for each attendee; • Request for a one-on-one session - Indicate if one-on-one is desired. Confirmation of registration for the event and one-on-one session (if requested) will be provided by email. Please note, telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Industry participants will receive a separate follow-on email with the date and time for their one-on-one session. Directions and information will be provided to registrants. There will be no registration fee.
